The deep forests, secluded lakes and old villages of Dalarna are in many ways "the heart" of Sweden. These are the idyllic settings we have in our mind's eye when musing on a time long gone. A time when our people lived closer to nature, depicted in so much of our folk art.
Korså is a small historic village, picturesque as can be. Follow a trail down to the shores of the pristine forest lake and you will find two comfy and large luxury canvas tents.
Each tent has hotel standard beds and bed linen, a small wood fired stove for cold nights, oil lanterns and wool blankets. Everything you need for a couple of cozy nights in the woods. We provide lunch and dinner meals, and in the mornings we deliver a breakfast basket to your tent.
Recharge and wake up happier, spend your day leisurely enjoying your surroundings.

Day 1: settle in by the lake
Arrive in the afternoon. Korså is an old historic village, a cluster of traditional red and white-painted houses where iron workers used to live back when the mines were still in use. Nowadays the few people who dwell here enjoy the slow pace and the beautiful surrounding nature. We take you for a stroll around the small village before walking down to the lake and your tent. Settle in, we hope you feel right at home.
This afternoon you can go for a hike, take a wild swim in the lake, enjoy a sauna or just rest by the campfire. In the evening, we bring ingredients for a delicious dinner and prepare it together over the open fire.
Watch the sun set over the lake, lay down and pull the duvet over you. Close your eyes. Fall asleep to the sound of the crackling fire.
Wake up slowly. Listen… the birds are singing. Take a deep breath. The air is so fresh and nature is all around.
Light a fire, boil some coffee or herbal tea, and enjoy breakfast from the basket your host delivered to your tent this morning. Hop in the lake for a refreshing swim.
You have the whole day to explore the natural wonders of this magical place! Your excursions can be small, slow and safe - an ideal setting for regular nature loving people like you and me.
On this day we would also like to do something together with you, if you like of course. Depending on the weather, the season and your preferences we can do one of the following activities:
Stroll through the forest in search for wild chanterelles, penny buns, edible plants, lingonberries and bilberries, all depending on season. We enjoy lunch together in the woods.
A canoe trip among the uninhabited islands of lake Hinsen. Paddling is the perfect way to experience the lake and the forest along its shores. We watch for birds and moor at an island where we light a campfire. Our canadian canoes are stable and safe and each fit two adults and two kids.
In the evening we bring a packed dinner meal to enjoy around the campfire. Another gorgeous sunset, another night to retreat into your luxurious canvas tent.
Activities your can do on your own:
Go for a hike in the woods
Relax in the hammock
Heat up in the wood heated sauna and cool down in the lake
Watch for birds and other wildlife
Pick endless amounts of berries
