Hinsen Wilderness Camp consists of three comfy and large luxury tents, situated right by the shore of lake Hinsen in Dalarna. Each tent has hotel standard beds and bed linen, a small wood fired stove for cold nights, oil lanterns and wool blankets. All you need for a couple of cozy nights in the woods. We provide you with all the ingredients for meals that you cook prepare over open fire, and in the morning you will get a breakfast basket to the tent.
This is a true nature getaway. Take this chance to unplug and disconnect. Relax and recharge.

Time to eat: You prepare your own meals over open fire, and we provide the outdoor cooking equipment that you need. There is a food shed where you find ingredients like pasta, tomato-sauce, bread, müsli, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, fresh vegetables, dried fruits, spices, pancake-mix and water. It will take a bit of time, but everything tastes so much better outdoors. Enjoy your meal by the camp fire!

Day 1: Welcome day and barbecue at the island
Arrive at Korså in the afternoon for a welcome session by the camp fire. Our host will let you know how everything works, where to fetch water, how to start a fire, how to sleep well in the forest and more. Then place your bags in your canoe go to your tent. We hope that you will feel like home.
Go for a hike, take a wild swim in the lake, go for a sauna or just rest by the campfire.
In the afternoon you are welcome to join our guides for a canoe trip across the lake. We will stop at one of our favorite islands and cook a dinner over open fire.
Watch the sunset and sleep well in your tent.
Day 2: Outdoor wellbeing
Wake up to birds song whenever you feel like getting up. Have a slow breakfast in the forest. We provide a basket.
Now you will have a whole day to explore the surrounding forest. You can go for a hike in the woods, explore the lake by canoe, relax at the sandy beach, go for a wild swim, go birdwatching, pick endless amounts of berries in season, mushrooms and edible plants, meditate among tall trees, chop firewood or just hang out by the camp fire with the others.
Our canadian style canoes are stable and safe and each fits two adults and two kids. Canoeing is the ideal way to explore the lake and the surrounding forest. Use our waterproof map where we have marked out some of the highlights of this lake called Hinsen. It is a relatively large, good enough for hours of paddling.
Welcome for a lunch at the nearby manor house.
Prepare your own barbecue dinner over the camp fire. We provide ingredients and equipment.
Day 3: Relax or leave
Breakfast in the forest. Say goodbye and leave when you have to.

Welcome introduction at arrival
One guided canoe trip which lasts for 3 hours in the evening
Soft double/twin bed in a large tent at Hinsen Wilderness Camp. Bed linen is included.
Single room supplement: Each hut has room for 2 persons. But with extra mattresses you can also fit two children in the same tent. There is no single room supplement.
Please arrive at the reception at Korså Herrgård by 2 pm. You have access to your tent until 11 am on the last day.
For nature lovers who are not afraid to sleep in the forest. There is no minimum age, small children are also welcome. You don’t need any previous experience in canoeing.
SMALL GROUPS FOR A MORE GENUINE EXPERIENCE
There will be max 8 persons with one guide. The camp has three tents in total.
LOCATION & HOW TO GET HERE
Hinsen Wilderness Camp is located just outside the charming Korså village, a 20 minute drive from Hofors, 30 minute drive from Falun, or a 2 hours drive from Stockholm and Arlanda airport.
By train: You can easily travel by train to Hofors where a taxi will meet you with a smile and take you to Korså village (20 mins).

BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS
Our booking procedure is simple. Just pick a date, fill in the form and off you go. You pay 10% now and the rest 45 days before you arrive.
We manually review your booking to make sure that we still have availability. If everything is okay we will send you a confirmation by email within 24 hours. Until your booking is confirmed no payment or charges will be applied, and credit card details are held for security purposes only.
You may cancel your tour at no cost up to 7 days from the time of booking. We will provide a 100% refund.
Cancellations between 8 days from the time of booking and 46 days before arrival will be charged at 25% of the booking’s total amount.
Cancellations between 45 days and 15 days before arrival will be charged at 75% of the booking’s total amount.
Cancellations within 14 days of arrival will be charged at 100% of the booking’s total amount.
